I know, I know… this is cheating a bit, as this is my own farm website. However, this has been a great exercise in exploring the power of social media, and how effectively it can drive traffic to your website. Since developing this site a couple years ago, I’ve written several blog posts (and an e-book), that included content of interest in this industry. Many of the instructional posts included a number of branded photos. By pushing these photos out to Pinterest, they started to get noticed (in fact, several photos have been “pinned” 10’s of thousands of times). This, in turn, dramatically increased my Google search engine ranking in several areas, and consistently drives traffic to my website and Facebook page. The majority of my sales come directly from my website, with no external marketing or promotion other than purely organic.
As a project though, I designed the logo, website, and follow my own branding guidelines in all the forms and supplemental documents I’ve designed for this brand. Visit GottaGoat Farm to view the live website.
