Green Mountain Creative is not just a graphic design company – it actually represents my philosophy and the type of business for which I’ve always wanted to work. What “we” do is sometimes hard to describe, because “I” often do a lot of very different things. The company “Green Mountain Creative” is really just me, Cindy Campbell, doing what I love to do. This usually entails working on some very interesting and diverse projects, with some very interesting and diverse people. The projects can be as simple as designing a fun little poster, or as complex as writing an entire educational program. It really just depends on what comes my way and whether or not we’d be a good fit.
My background is quite diverse: I took Computer Science in university, which really helps me keep up with all the software and coding that I do; I spent a lot of years (20+) working for large companies, where I was an instructor (technical trainer), and later a manager of a diverse team of people; and in my spare time I enjoyed working with computer graphics and even painting. This experience really helps me understand what works (and what doesn’t) in an organization, as well as how to effectively communicate with people (which, by the way, is SO important when trying to discuss a lot of the design work that I do for my clients). This is also why many of my projects are so diverse – my creative nature is satisfied with the design aspects of what I do, and my technical and educational expertise is satisfied by the curriculum projects that I undertake.
As an individual (apart from my Green Mountain Creative projects), I also lead quite an interesting and diverse life. I run a small farm with my husband and kids, where we raise miniature goats and chickens, give farm tours, and even host fun classes like “Goat Yoga” (this is the side of the farm business intended to make a little extra money). In addition, we are home to a number of other furry family members, including a few horses, bigger goats, an old pot-bellied pig, a donkey, a dog, some cats, and even a few ducks! Many of these animals have been rescued from some pretty bad situations, so we are very dedicated to giving them a safe and happy life. And, this is usually where any of that “extra” money goes – toward all that animal feed we go through! I also help out with several animal rescue organizations, providing assistance both with the animals and through my design services. My farm is called GottaGoat Farm, in case you might be wondering…
So now you know a little about me, and Green Mountain Creative. If you have a project that I can help with, I’d love to hear from you. Or contact me if you just want to talk about goats.
